Our business

Founded in 1980, ZOOPAN is a small/medium-sized Portuguese company (SME) with a main activity in the area of Animal Health and Nutrition.

ZOOPAN was the first Portuguese company to obtain the “Good Manufacturing Practices” (GMP) certification in this area.
ZOOPAN's facilities currently have GMP certification for the manufacture of drug premixes, oral solutions and soluble powders, as well as NP EN ISO 9001:2015 and FAMI-QS certifications.

Zoopan has a highly specialized technical team and an extensive internal development and production capacity in the areas of health, nutrition and biosafety.

ISO 9001 is a certification that defines business quality management guidelines. It was created with the main objective of making processes more efficient, helping to guarantee the quality of the products and services that companies offer.

Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are the standards responsible for ensuring the quality, safety, and efficacy of medicines, and are based on basic principles for minimizing risks. Good Manufacturing Practices ensure that Zoopan complies with all the quality prerequisites described in the Community regulations applicable to the veterinary pharmaceutical sector.

The FAMI-QS (certification of the system of additives for animal feed and premixes) is a standard that addresses the food safety, regulatory and quality objectives defined in the European Animal Feed Regulations. The purpose of this certification is to guide covered manufacturers and merchants and help them develop their own procedures to minimize food safety risks related to additives and premixes. Used as a legal compliance tool, FAMI-QS is recognized by the European Commission, local authorities, but also by customers, and is seen as a sign of a proactive approach to animal feed safety and quality.
